How to apply
Apply January 1 through March 1 (forms available mid-January online or at 941-748-8208). Income documents for everyone in the household (federal returns, W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, bank statements) are due by June 1; non-filers need IRS Form 4506-T and a sworn statement of household income.
Under s. 196.075, F.S., the income statement is required the first year; after that you must tell the property appraiser by May 1 if household income goes over the limit. Some property appraisers ask for income proof every year, so ask the office how renewal works here.
